Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Matchtracker. If you are a minor, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

• Matchtracker creates a device-based account automatically — there is no email, username, or password. Your account is tied to identifiers generated on your device.
• Keep your device secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked device can act as you in the app.
• If you enable Sync Sign-In via iCloud, your session is stored in your personal iCloud so a new device can resume the same account. Without it, a lost or reset device means the account cannot be recovered — including its predictions history.
• Contact us at support@lrlnet.se if you believe your account has been misused.

3. The Service

• Matchtracker provides live scores, play-by-play, schedules, standings, team and player statistics, notifications, Live Activities, widgets, on-device AI summaries, and a free predictions game for Swedish hockey leagues.
• Live data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Scores and statistics come from league and public sports-data sources; we relay them in good faith but can't guarantee accuracy or availability. Don't rely on the app where accuracy has consequences — including any form of betting.
• Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove features over time.

4. Independent app & trademarks

Matchtracker is an independent, unofficial app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), the SDHL, HockeyAllsvenskan, or any club or league organization.

• League, club, and arena names and marks are trademarks of their respective owners, used only to identify real-world teams and matches.
• If you represent a rights holder and have a concern, contact us at support@lrlnet.se and we will respond promptly.

5. Predictions are a game

The pick'em predictions feature is a free game of skill and luck played for points only. It is not gambling and must not be treated as such:

• There are no stakes, entry fees, purchases, prizes, or payouts — points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for anything.
• Picks lock at puck drop and are graded automatically when results are final.
• We may correct, re-grade, or void picks and markets when games are postponed, data was wrong, or grading misfired. Our grading decisions are final.
• Nothing in the app is betting advice. Matchup projections and AI content are for entertainment.

6. AI-generated content

Match recaps and pregame briefings are generated on your device by Apple's on-device AI models, from match facts we provide. AI-generated text can be inaccurate or incomplete — it's a convenience summary, not a record. The underlying stats in the app are the source of truth.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, or interfere with other users' use of it.
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data from the Service, or hammer our API beyond normal app usage.
• Attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours, probe or circumvent security or rate limits, or disrupt the Service.
• Reverse engineer or decompile the app, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create risk or legal exposure.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use and share it.

9. Intellectual property

The Matchtracker app, its design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms (and, for the App Store version, the Apple terms below). We reserve all rights not expressly granted. Third-party marks remain their owners' property (see section 4).

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Apple (push notifications, Live Activities, iCloud, Apple Maps, and the App Store) and league/public sports-data sources. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by contacting us. Deletion is immediate and permanent — see the Privacy Policy for details.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT SCORES, STATISTICS, NOTIFICATIONS, OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR DELIVERED IN TIME. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATCHTRACKER AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THE SERVICE IS FREE; OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO IT WILL NOT EXCEED USD 50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT FULLY APPLY TO YOU.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Matchtracker from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or others' rights, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice (such as in-app). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Sweden, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

17. Apple App Store terms

The following applies because you obtained Matchtracker through Apple's App Store. These Terms are between you and Matchtracker only, not with Apple. To the extent they conflict with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the relevant Apple terms control for the App Store version.

• Scope. Your license to use Matchtracker is a non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
• Maintenance & support. Matchtracker, not Apple, is solely responsible for support and maintenance of the app.
• Warranty. Matchtracker, not Apple, is responsible for any product warranties, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Product & legal claims. Matchtracker, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims.
• Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting,” and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
• Contact. Direct any questions, complaints, or claims about the app to support@lrlnet.se.
